  • FOR EXAMPLE, A 20'X20' GARAGE (2-CAR GARAGE) NEEDS TO BE MAINTAINED AN 18-FOOT DEPTH BY 17-FOOT WIDE CLEARANCE FOR THE PARKING VEHICLES. A PARKED VEHICLE IS 18'X8'6"
  • A HEAT DETECTOR MUST BE ILLUSTRATED ON THE GARAGE FLOOR PLAN
  • INCLUDE SPEC SHEET FOR THE HEAT DETECTOR

Plan Set Requirements

ALL JOBS

  • Fill out pg. 2 of the PV Structural Criteria form the files section below and upload the completed document under the project files in Lightspeed.
  • 18"x24" paper format required (To be completed by Designer)
  • Open Plans in Adobe PDF: Go to File, select Print, Click Page Setup and change the following; Size: ARCH C, Orientation: Landscape. Print as Adobe PDF.
  • Make sure "fit to page" is selected.
  • Please flatten plans
  • Plans must be black and white
  • Spec sheets pages need to be same size and orientation as the rest of plans.
  • Only use rev clouds if changes to the plan set are made after permit issuance.

For projects less than 10KW AC

  • Fill out "Standard PV Plan - City of Anaheim PDF - upload the completed document to the project files in Lightspeed
  • QC entries on values on the standard plan, the inspector will reference this at time of inspection
  • Last page of standard plan needs the layout from the plans with minimal information (roof callouts, module callouts) we will fail inspection if we do not provide.

EV CHARGER JOBS

  • IF INSTALLING AN EV CHARGER, SPEC SHEET MUST BE PROVIDED, WE ALSO NEED TO FILL OUT EV CHARGER LOAD CALCULATIONS FORM FROM AHJ, DOCUMENT ATTACHED IN FILE SECTION

ALL JOBS

  • Label all accessory structures on the site (pools, patio covers, structures, etc.)
  • Site plan must include ENTIRE boundary of property, and match AHJ records.
  • Site plan MUST include dimensions
  • BOS equipment must NOT BE SEEN from street view or painted to match color existing house.

MULTI UNIT HOMES (DUPLEXES, ETC.)

  • The site plan must show the boundaries of the entire parcel and specify which unit(s) we are installing on

City requires their own placards, please see sheet uploaded below. The values will change depending on the job. This will be filled out with the Standard plan and will be in your permit packet for this AHJ to order placards.

Non Standard Revision Requirements
  • Clouds & Deltas shall be used only for revisions after permit issuance.
  • Pages in the plans must stay in the EXACT same order that they were originally submitted to the AHJ in. This means that any pages removed from the plans must be replaced with a blank page, and any additional pages added to the plans after the initial permit submission must be added to the very back of the set behind the spec sheets.
  • Revision letters must be uploaded separately from the plans
