All Jobs Construction Document: a. Amended Construction Documents: Work shall be installed in accordance with the approved construction documents, and any changes made during construction that are not in compliance with the approved construction documents shall be resubmitted for approval as an amended set of construction documents. The resubmittal document (drawings and any calculation, etc.) shall be submitted to ProjectDox (on ePermit Center at [) for plan check approval. Inspections: b. It shall be the duty of the holder of the building permit or their duly authorized agent to notify the building official when work is ready for inspection. It shall be the duty of the permit holder to provide access to and means for inspections of such work that are required by this Code. c. All Construction or work shall be subjected to inspection by the City of Folsom Building Official (or his/her representatives) and such construction or work shall remain accessible and exposed for inspection purposed until approved. Approval as a result of an inspection shall not be construed to be an approval of a violation of the provisions of this code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction. Inspections presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of this code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction shall not be valid. It shall be the duty of the permit applicant to cause the work to remain accessible and exposed for inspection purposes. Neither the building official nor the jurisdiction shall be liable for expense entailed in the removal or replacement of any material required to allow inspection. d. All equipment shall be installed in accordance to manufacturer’s specifications and installation instructions manuals. A copy of each equipment installation instructions manual shall be presented upon inspections. Smoke alarms shall be installed in the following locations per CRC Section R314: e. In each sleeping room, f. Outside each separate sleeping area in the immediate vicinity of the bedrooms, g. On each additional story of the dwelling, including basements and habitable attics and not including crawl spaces and uninhabitable attics. In dwellings or dwelling units with split levels and without an intervening door between the adjacent levels, a smoke alarm installed on the upper level shall suffice for the adjacent lower level provided that the lower level is less than one full story below the upper level, h. Smoke alarms shall be installed not less than 3 feet horizontally from the door or opening of a bathroom that contains a bathtub or shower unless this would prevent placement of a smoke alarm required, and i. All smoke alarms shall be listed in accordance with UL 217 and installed in accordance with the provisions of this code and the household fire warning equipment provisions of NFPA 72. Systems and components shall be California State Fire Marshal listed and approved in accordance with California Code of Regulations, Title 19, Division 1 for the purpose for which they are installed. Carbon monoxide alarms are required at the following locations per CRC Section R315: j. Outside of each separate sleeping area in the immediate vicinity of the bedrooms, k. On every occupiable level of a dwelling unit, including basements, l. Where a fuel-burning appliance is located within a bedroom or its attached bathroom, a carbon monoxide alarm shall be installed within the bedroom, and m. The carbon monoxide alarms shall be listed as complying with the requirements of UL 2034. Carbon monoxide alarms and carbon monoxide detectors shall be installed in accordance with this code, the current edition of NFPA 720 “Standard for the Installation of Carbon Monoxide (CO) Detection and Warning Equipment” and the manufacturer’s installation instructions.]
