If ESS is installed inside of garage, 1207.11.6 states that a smoke alarm or heat alarm shall be installed in the vicinity of the battery system. As such, please address each of the following:

  • Please also note on the plans that the new alarm must be interconnected with the smoke alarm in the home (per the alarm’s installation instructions).
  • In addition, please provide the model number and information sheet about such detector/alarm.

Site Notes

Property must comply with the City of Millbrae front yard landscaping requirement (Municipal code section 10.05.0620(G)(2)). Please provide a note on a site plan if the property complies with the front yard landscaping requirement. If the property is currently not compliant, modifications to the site must be made to comply with the requirement prior to the final inspection and sign-off of the permit
