All outdoor equipment shall be raintight and hold a minimum NEMA-3R rating. [CEC 110.28, 404.4(A), 408.16] iii. If the existing main service panel does not have verifiable grounding electrode, it is the PV contractor's responsibility to install a supplemental grounding electrode.

Each ESS disconnecting means shall plainly indicate whether it is in the open (off) or closed (on) position and be permanently marked "ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM DISCONNECT.”

The ESS disconnecting means shall be legibly marked in the field to indicate both the Nominal ESS AC voltage and Maximum ESS DC voltage [CEC 706.15(C)(1)]

“PHOTOVOLTAIC POWER SOURCE” or “SOLAR PV DC CIRCUIT” marking should be placed on all interior and exterior DC conduit, raceways, enclosures, and cable assemblies, every 10 feet, at turns and above/or below penetrations and all DC combiner and junction boxes. [CEC 690.31(D)(2)]
