Plan Set Requirements
  • Make sure to have a minimum of 2 firefighter ladder access points on plans.
  • One must be at the driveway.
  • Include setbacks around chimney if its inside setback.
  • Include a pic of the existing msp - provide clear photos of the MSP breakers, buss work, and label.
  • If the size of the array doesn't exceed 66% of the roof area on a sprinkled residence the clearance at the peak of the roof may be to 18 each side.
  • If the size of the array doesn't exceed 30% of the roof area on a non-sprinkled residence you may reduce the clearance at the peak of the roof from 36 each side to 18 each side.
  • An AC disconnect shall be installed within sight, within 10ft of the ESS. CEC 690.15(A)
  • ALL PAGES IN PLANSET MUST BE 11" x 17" OR WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY REJECTED

  • Indicate roof slope and dimensions of array setback from the roof edges.
  • Indicate sufficient width and depth of working space in front of electric equipment in accordance with 110.26(A)(2), extending from grade to height of equipment per 110.26(A)(3).
  • Existing gas meter location and any other such obstructions within the vicinity of the new MSP shall be shown on the site plan to demonstrate compliance, as required by City of Tracy Building and Safety Division Design Standards for Typical and Special Conditions for PV Installations; Topic #8.

Identify the height of the conduit above the roof.

  • Existing Systems Please show all new and existing modules on roof, and where PV systems have differing rapid shutdown types show each different PV system with a dotted line around areas that remain energized after the rapid shutdown switch is operated.
  • Load Calculations required when derating Main Breaker.
