Roof Pathways:
- Provide at least two pathways on separate roof planes, each at least 36 inches wide, running from the lowest roof edge to the ridge.
- At least one pathway must be on the street or driveway side of the roof.
- For roofs with solar panels, include a 36-inch-wide pathway on the same roof plane as the array, an adjacent plane, or straddling both.
- Pathways must be over areas strong enough to support firefighters and free of obstructions like vent pipes or equipment.
Line-Side Taps:
- Line-side taps are allowed, whether using a lug kit or direct wire tap.

- Ground Mount Fencing Required
- Situational
- Ground Mount Notes
1) The AHJ does not permit the use of Nuance racking for ground mount arrays. All designs must use Ironridge racking to comply with requirements.
2) Site plans must include specific measurements:
- Distance from the house to tanks.
- Distance from the tanks to the fence lines.
- Additionally, leech lines require setbacks similar to those for septic tanks. This guideline was noted by J. Rivkin on 1/22/2020.
3) Add fencing if the system is in a public area or poses a safety risk. Fencing is usually not needed for remote, rural locations. Check with the AHJ if unsure.
