• Provide a minimum of two 36-inch-wide roof pathways on separate roof planes from the lowest roof edge to the ridge (see exemptions).
• Provide at least one roof pathway on the street or driveway side.
• For each roof plane with PV, provide a 36-inch-wide pathway from the lowest roof edge to the ridge (same, adjacent, or straddling roof planes).
• Pathways shall support firefighter access and be located in areas with minimal obstructions.
• Ridge setback: If PV covers more than 33% of the roof area (66% if sprinklered), provide a 36-inch clear setback on both sides of horizontal ridges.
