AS OF 12/29/22 THE INSPECTOR IS NOT REQUIRING THE PANEL REQUIREMENTS BELOW. BRANCH WILL KEEP THE INFORMATION THERE JUST IN CASE. - LJ * * * MPUs: The following items are required for main panels in this AHJ. (A) Panelboards in single-family, detached residential units shall have a minimum of thirty (30) circuit spaces. Other dwelling units shall have a minimum of twenty (20) spaces. (B) In all new panelboard installations there shall be a minimum of four (4) unused spaces for overcurrent devices. These spaces are to allow for future expansion of the electrical system. (C) Tandem (duplex), mini-circuit breakers are not permitted and will not be accepted or any installation regardless of the type of construction. (D) All circuit breakers shall be fully sized in dimensions for proper insertion into the panelboard, as set forth by the switchgear or panelboard manufacturer and as listed by a recognized testing laboratory. (E) Substitution of two (2) or more circuit breakers in a space so designed or previously occupied by a lesser number shall not be approved and will not be accepted.
