Structural & Electrical Engineering Stamping Requirements
- Digital Signature of Structural Engineer must show metadata.
- Remove staff’s signature from all pages before stamping.
- Plans must be stamped and digitally signed by both Electrical and Structural Engineers.
- Mounting Equipment spec sheets must have SE Stamps.
Plans must include
- Engineer’s electronic stamp on every page.
- Engineer’s electronic signature on every page.
- Engineer’s digital signature on the first page.
- Expiration date of the licensee’s license (2020 Blue Book, #1b pg. 19).

Stamping & Signature Rules

The Nevada Board of Professional Engineers (NRS 625.610) requires that each design professional add their digital signature to the first page of each discipline in combination with a stamp, expiration date, and date of signature on each sheet. The text that begins with "digitally signed by..." in the example image is required as part of the digital signature.

ALL PROJECTS:
- At CR review if home is identified as a manufactured home, submit a ticket to the permitting team to have the AHJ updated to MHD
- Must note "NOT FOR PLAN REVIEW" in red text on Optimizer Chart, Safety Plan, & Job Hazard Analysis pages. AHJ no longer requires these pages to be removed from the plan set if we add this note.
- When quoting module rating, show CEC rating, not PTC rating.
- PV plans do not need stamping unless over 15 KW
- Remove Greg's signature from the pages being stamped. His signature is needed on any pages that will not be stamped.
- When requesting stamping please make sure the engineers have their stamp digitally signed showing meta data next to stamp. refer to "dated stamp, digitally signed" in the files section
MPU Projects:
- MPUs are permitted separately, and will require a dedicated plan set for MPU only:

Properties that are more units than a duplex are considered Commercial Properties. For any considered Commercial Property we will need to have adjust plans to show the following:
- 4 ft Set Backs on all edges of the roof and from the ridge
- Please Remove staff's signature from all pages, then have Plans Stamped and Digitally Signed by Electrical and Structural Engineers
- Mounting Equipment spec sheets need SE Stamping as well, including Eco System Engineer letter
- Structural Calculations and PE Letter needed

Existing Systems:
Add lines and arrows to the Existing modules on all pertaining arrays, including Placard Page.
Duplex/multi-unit structures:
When there is not a parapet separating each tenant's roof, provide a 4 ft minimum separation clearance dimension from the adjacent tenant's exterior wall and roof surface to the solar panels.
Shared Roof EX Townhomes/Condos
WHEN WE HAVE PANELS ON BOTH SIDES OF A SHARING RIDGE, AT LEAST ONE SIDE MUST HAVE 3 FT SET BACK REGARDLESS OF SYSTEM SIZE.

Plans will be rejected if you do not follow these instructions and items below.
1. On the top of the narrative document list the revision number BDxx-xxxxx-R00x (this is the Permit number [Ex: BD22-37660] then "-R00" and whichever revision number the narrative is for [Ex: BD22-37660-R003] if it were the 3rd revision requested)
2. Identify in the narrative the pages that have changes in a list format. Each drawing, sheet or page should be a separate line item. Next to each page number, describe the changes for that page in detail. Do not use “general” statements.
3. The revised drawing, sheet or pages shall have a cloud around the area(s) which were changed, and a numbered delta symbol used to identify the submitted revision. Clouds around the entire drawing will not be accepted.
