Effective November 4, 2024 all submittals in regards to Solar Panels and EV Chargers install on
residential structures/property shall include an electrical diagram approved by a licensed South
Carolina Engineer and shall bear the engineers seal/signature on the diagram sheet.
This will be in addition to the regular documentation required at submittal.
This shall include for the following submittals:
1)New Solar Panel installs
2)Back up batteries install on existing solar panel system
3)EV charging systems
4)Any permits in regards to Solar Panels and EV Chargers or similar work.

Engineer letter must be with the packet and must include the roof load and the wind speed must meet 2018 IRC also must include that it was inspected and can withhold the load and winds.
