Here are highlights of the Delmarva (DE) Green Energy Program:

-- 70% of the annual solar path’s area must be shade free to be considered for a grant.

-- Optimum orientation is 180°. However, the program accepts orientations between South of due East and South of due West (azimuths between 90° and 260°).

-- Systems with arrays oriented North of due East and North of due West are not eligible for a Delmarva (DE) Green Energy Program grant.

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with Delmarva Power (DE) before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
