The customer’s bill will be calculated by subtracting the credit to the customer from the Cooperative’s charges to the customer. If the credit to the customer is greater than the Cooperative’s charges to the customer, the customer’s bill shall be zero for the current billing cycle with the difference credited to the customer in subsequent billing cycles. When the customer discontinues Net Metering Rate service, any unused credit will revert to the Cooperative.

Install Reqs

CHELCO inspection of generation system is required prior to completing interconnection. Without a properly programmed meter, energy intended as sold to CHELCO will appear on member’s billing as energy usage, billed to a member with no way of separating used and sold energy.

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with CHELCO - Choctawhatchee Electric Cooperative before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
