Net Excess Generation Notes

Meter readings shall be taken monthly. Excess generation shall be purchased by the city in the form of a credit on the customers bill. Each billing cycle, customer shall be credited for any excess energy generated. This credit will be in accordance with the avoided energy cost. Credit for excess generation produced shall accumulate and be applied to the customers consumption bill through the end of the calendar year. In the last billing cycle of the year, any remaining account credit balance will be paid by the city to the customer. The city will issue an IRS 1099-MISC form totaling all monthly credits for the previous year to customers with total credits of $600 or greater.
