SLD Reqs

Battery

  • Utility will require to have a switch installed allowing a visible air gap between the meter and the gateway
  • AC disconnect REQUIRED between utility meter and gateway. Even for 200A service and a gateway with a 200A main breaker, utility will require an additional 200A disconnect between UM and gateway.

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with Jackson EMC before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
