Net Excess Generation Notes

Power purchased through Tennessee Valley Authority. Electricity produced serves the facility's needs first. TVA purchases any excess generation that is delivered to the grid. If the facility needs additional electricity, it must be bought from the local power company. Bi-directional meter that is capable of recording kW/kWh received from the local power company and delivered to the power grid on separate channels is required.

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with Tri-State EMC before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
