Net Excess Generation Notes
On the months where the customer’s usage has exceeded the available credits they will get billed that month for their electrical usage. Future credits cannot be applied to current monthly bill/usage. Once electricity has been delivered to the customer by the utility they must pay for it on the city’s regular billing cycle. On April First of each year of operation (full or partial), the NET meter will be reset to zero and all unused credits will expire. There is to be no payment back to the customer for excess credits at this time.

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with Burley Municipal before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
