Project 10kWAC or less are eligible for net metering. Projects larger than 10kAC will be on an export rate.
Net Excess Generation Notes

Any surplus or over-generation that cannot be used on the member’s premises will be metered and purchased by the cooperative at the avoided cost. The rate of compensation will be the same as others who sell generated power directly to the wholesale market. At the end of each billing cycle, the metered kilowatts

will be calculated and appear on the bill as monetary redit. Unused kilowatts will never expire or be carried over to another billing cycle, but credits may be forwarded if amount exceeds the current bill.

This attachment must show the arrays, inverter, disconnect, meter, and Point of Interconnection. Note: If connecting to a meter loop on a pole, RECC requires a 3' clearance around its poles. The clearance also includes any conduit connected above ground.

Install Reqs
  •  If connecting to a meter loop on a pole, RECC requires a 3' clearance around its poles. The clearance also includes any conduit connected above ground. Any changes or upgrades required to the meter loop must be approved prior
  • The member shall provide adequate above-ground clearance of cooperative poles. When connecting EREGF equipment to the master meter or meter loop, all wiring located within 3’ of meter pole shall be buried, except for the exposed conduit feeding into the bottom of the meter loop’s disconnect.
Placards

Installations must be properly labeled by placing an approved placard on the cooperative’s meter base, indicating that an alternate source of energy is interconnected to the meter. An additional placard is required to identify the disconnect of the alternative energy source.

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with Rural Electric Convenience Cooperative before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
