System Offset Notes

Add up the total energy consumption (in kWh) as shown on your last 12 Pepco bills. Divide that sum by 1,200. Multiply that number by 2. The result is the maximum inverter nameplate rating you can install. We use the formula (12-month kWh usage / 1,200) x 2 = maximum kW inverter rating, to comply with state rules, meet all or part of your electrical needs, and follow our regulatory requirements.

The system capacity can be up to 200% of your 12-month historical energy consumption.

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with PEPCO (MD) before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
