SLD Reqs
  • The diagram must include the design on the member’s side of the meter, including a visible, lockable AC disconnect.

TAPS

  • South Central Power does not permit hard tapping or tap connectors of service entrance conductors prior to the first means of disconnect. If you choose to do a source-side connection, it may be established through approved bus lug connectors.
  • Prefers load-side interconnection

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with South Central Power Company before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
