* During each billing period, CCEC will supply energy from the grid when a net metered location is using more power than their onsite generation can provide. When the onsite generation is producing more energy than is needed the excess is sent back to the power grid. Each billing period the energy sent back is subtracted from the energy supplied by CCEC and the member is only charged the difference.
* If the amount of energy generated is greater than the amount of energy delivered, the difference in kilowatt-hours shall be defined as excess energy. Excess energy shall be banked and used to offset future consumption. Once a year, if the credit is substantial, the banked excess energy will be credited to the member’s account at the avoided cost rate.
