AC Disconnect Required:

• Must install a manual disconnect device that will have the effect of isolating the generator in the event of an emergency.
• The disconnect device shall have a visual break and must be accessible to utility personnel
• Must follow the Boroughs switching, clearance and tagging procedures.

Inverters:

• DC generation installations using inverters for interconnection with the Borough must use non-islanding type inverters as defined in IEEE 929.

• Must install a warning label in a conspicuous place on the electric meter or meter box.
• Warning label shall no be placed in a location that would interfere with the ability to read the meter.
• Warning label must be placed before the generation can be interconnected
