Plans & docs
- Install Reqs
Customer shall install a manual load-break disconnect switch with a clear visible indication of switch position between Company's electric system and Customer's Generator. The Isolation Device shall be installed as specified in the Interconnection Standard.
- Disconnect installation - located within arm’s reach and visible from the meter
- Proper signage on the disconnect and meter can
- Additional #6 Bare ground wire that comes from the disconnect to the existing house ground
- This ensures that there is no potential difference between the disconnect and the meter
- Connections must be made inside the member’s breaker panel
- No connections are to be made inside the meter base, this is considered tampering and may result in a tampering fee.
- DO NOT LEAVE SOLAR SYSTEM ENERGIZED AFTER TESTING - the system should only be energized once AEC completes meter change
- Placards
Customer will install a permanent warning label in a conspicuous place in close proximity to the electric meter or on the meter base to notify Company personnel that there is a generator installed on the load side of the meter. The warning label shall not be placed in a location that would interfere with the ability of Company personnel to read the electric meter. Customer shall also place a warning label on the Isolation Device. Company will provide the warning labels to Customer. The warning labels must be in place before the Generator can be interconnected with Company's system
