Whenever the electricity generated by the Member’s distributed generation system exceeds the Member’s consumption, the Member shall be billed under residential tariff RS-8 for the Basic Facilities Charge for that billing period and credited for excess kWh generated during the billing period at Avoided Energy Cost, with this kWh credit appearing on the bill for the billing period.


Interconnection Agreement Option: (2023 - Monthly facility charges are subject to change)

Option 1: $19.00 - Standard Solar Metering

  • Energy rate for all metered energy - residential retail rate
  • No energy credits or saved (banked) excess solar energy

Option 2: $49.00 - Net Solar Metering

  • Energy rate for all metered energy - residential retail rate minus 2 cents
  • Excess energy produced by your solar panels can be saved (banked) and applied as a credit to future power bills
  • Energy credits are zeroed out each year in October

Option 3: $59.00 Primary Meter; $19.00 on other aggregate meter - Aggregate Net Solar Metering

  • Energy rate for all metered energy - residential retail rate minus 2 cents on primary meter
  • Other aggregate meters at standard rate
  • Excess energy produced by your solar panels can be saved (banked) and applied as a credit to future power bills
  • Energy credits are zeroed out each year in October
  • Solar energy may be applied to 1 or more member accounts regardless of where solar panels are located.

Install Reqs

The installation of the Generator and all equipment in the system must comply with the latest published edition of IEEE 929 and IEEE 1547 as applicable. The Customer’s inverter or interconnection protection system must be tested and listed for compliance with the latest published edition of Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL) 1741. Customer shall install a manual load-break disconnect switch with a clear visible

indication of switch position between Company’s electric system and Customer’s Generator."

Placards

Customer shall install a permanent warning label in a conspicuous place in closeproximity to the electric meter or on the meter base to notify Company personnel that there is agenerator installed on the load side of the meter. The warning label shall not be placed in alocation that would interfere with the ability of Company personnel to read the electric meter.Customer shall also place a warning label on the Isolation Device. Company will provide the warning labels to Customer. The warning labels must be in place before the Generator can beinterconnected with Company’s system.
