SLD Reqs

Panels, inverters, disconnect switch and connection point. We do not require a production meter. We encourage back feeding a breaker in the customer’s panelboard. Pierce connection in the meter base will not be allowed. Only meter bases designed for two sets of service wires can have the solar system connected in the meter base.

Electric Service Reqs

Warning: Cut meter seals are considered tampering and may incur a $500.00 charge to the customer. Seals can only be removed with an ECU employee present.

Install Reqs

Customer shall install a manual disconnect switch of the visible load break type toprovide a separation point between the AC power output of the CRG system and any Customerwiring connected to Utility’s electric system such that back feed from the CRG system toUtility’s electric system cannot occur when the switch is in the open position. The manual disconnect switch shall be mounted separate from the meter socket on an exterior surface adjacent to the meter. The switch shall be readily accessible to Utility and capable of being locked in the open position with a Utility padlock. When locked and tagged in the open positionby Utility, this switch will be under the control of Utility.

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with Easley Combined Utilities before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
