Disconnect/ Reconnects

If you require a disconnect/reconnect please contact the AEP Solutions Center at .

• Please provide 48 hours of notice ahead of your scheduled date.

• Ensure that your city/county permit will be submitted to AEP for reconnection by 3PM CT on the scheduled day

• Be advised that if the permit is not received by 3PM CT, AEP will be unable to reconnect service that day

If we can handle these issues ahead of time it will help speed the commissioning process and reduce the risk that a customer is left disconnected for longer than necessary.

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with AEP Texas North Company before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
