Net Excess Generation Notes

If the electricity generated by the Customer’s System exceeds the Customer’s consumption, and the Customer’s excess electricity is distributed back to the City during the billing period, then the Customer shall still be billed for the customer service charge(s) paid by other customers of the City in the same rate class as Customer, however, Customer shall be credited for the net excess kilowatt-hours generated during the billing period at a wholesale rate set forth in the City’s fee schedule, which may be amended from time to time at the sole discretion of the City. Any credit earned by the Customer shall appear on Customer’s bill for the following billing period. On April 30th of each calendar year, any remaining unused kilowatt-hour credit accumulated during the previous year shall be granted to the City without any compensation to Customer.
