Net Excess Generation Notes

In the event the energy generated by the facility exceeds the energy consumed on the member’s premises, the excess may be distributed to Ohop Mutual’s grid through Ohop Mutual’s meter, causing the member’s meter to run backward. In no case will a credit be issued for negative usage. Instead, a bill for zero usage will be issued and negative Kwh will be “banked” for usage by the member in a subsequent month. Any banked Kwh remaining on April 30th of each calendar year shall be donated to Ohop Mutual Light Company.

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with Ohop Mutual Light Company before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
